Photo Season in Full Swing

So... Donna, I know you asked me to update the blog. And you meant for something written. I'm sorta following direction. Updated blog: check. Written piece: nope.

I'm currently at the beginning of a steep learning curve to teach myself photography. I want to be better behind the camera. I want to be much better in post-processing. So, along with learning to use my editing software, (something I unfortunately hadn't really bothered to do during my years on the road), I'm looking at dozens and maybe even hundreds of photography websites. Getting ideas. Studying the pictures. Putting together digital files for reference.

Like this one of children and family photographs:

Or this one of weddings:

The beauty of learning photography this time of year is that there are many opportunities to practice! Weddings. Family Sessions. Babies everywhere. High School Senior portraits.

Here's an example of a shoot I did a couple of days ago. A senior session at my house. This kid rolled up in a Porche that was passed on to him when his grandfather died. Of course he wanted pictures with it... and I made sure they were taken down the road, so I could get a free ride.

Next week, one of the senior sessions is with a young man who wants to be photographed with his albino python named Wilfred. No doubt that'll be an interesting shoot.

There you have it, Donna. Thanks for your continued interest in the much neglected blog. I'll get more writing on here eventually...
